How to get an Instagram API Key
If the social sidebar on your website doesn't work, the Instagram API key needs to be updated. Craftpeak is always happy to do this for you, but if you're uncomfortable sharing your Instagram login with us, you can follow these steps to obtain your new Instagram API Key:
- Open an incognito/private tab in your browser
- Head to https://www.instagram.com/accounts/login/
- Log in using your username and password
- You may be asked to verify your login and if so, verify before the code expires.
- Once you are logged in, head to http://instagram.pixelunion.net/ and follow the steps to generate and access token.
- Copy the access token
- Paste the access token in the Access Document that you share with Craftpeak under "Instagram"
- Let support@craftpeak.com know that you have updated your Instagram API Key so they can update your website
